A separate well brings water up via solar-powered pump into the "water shack" -- a 100 sq. ft. building which houses a 70-gallon storage tank, and sink. In addition to housing a solar-powered pump, the shack has a solar still. This solar distiller mounted on the shack's south-facing exterior wall produces about a gallon per (sunny) day of pure water.
